Camillieri Residence

Located in Tribeca, New York City, a young couple desired to transform their uninspired space and create a new esthetic that is rich, warm and tactile. We clad the existing elevator entry volume with dark cork tiles and screened the adjoining entry closet with vibrant yellow patterned curtains. Deep red hand-dyed Tibetan rugs were custom fabricated to create a procession from the long hallway into the living area. Grey layered linen curtains were installed from wall to wall along the south facing windows to control light and privacy. Saur wood from Brazil was used to fabricate an AV accessories armoire and natural edged shelf that is cantilevered from the wall and topped with acid etched and mirrored glass panels to expand the space of the room. Custom stools, swivel chairs are paired with a sectional couch and provide the lounging areas. Two green granite topped dining tables can be placed together or apart for flexibility in entertaining with the adjacent bar.
